Embshoff Woods Trail

At the trailhead, look for raptors such as red-tailed hawks soaring overhead on the updrafts from the Ohio River below.

Entering the forest, watch for woodland birds and woodpeckers, including downy woodpeckers and the large pileated woodpecker.

Enjoy the spring ephemerals blooming along the trail including sessile trillium, common blue violets and Solomon’s seal.
