Little Miami Scenic Trail

The Little Miami Scenic Trail (LMST) is one of the longest paved, multi-use trails in the United States.

The trail currently spans five counties, extending 78 miles from Springfield, Ohio, to Anderson Township in southwestern Ohio.

Trail Access

The Little Miami Scenic Trail can be accessed at the following Great Parks:

Trail parking and access is also available at Bass Island (located on Newtown Road just south of Wooster Pike) and the southern trail terminus (located next to Speedway gas station at 5030 Batavia Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45244).

Due to increased usage of the trail, the parking lot located next to Speedway can fill up quickly. When this happens, overflow parking is available 1.5 miles away at Clear Creek Park (6200 Batavia Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45244).

Upcoming Events

  • Beechmont Bridge Connection Project

    In 2016, Great Parks extended the Little Miami Scenic Trail by 3.15 miles from the Little Miami Golf Center to the intersection of Beechmont Avenue and State Route 32. In 2022, Great Parks completed the Beechmont Bridge Connection Project to bring the trail across the Little Miami Scenic River, tying it into the Lunken Airport trail and Ohio River Trail to downtown Cincinnati.

  • Columbia Connector Trail Project

    In spring 2020, Great Parks completed construction of Phases 1 and 2 of the Columbia Connector Trail project. Ultimately, the 1.6-mile extension of the Little Miami Scenic Trail will connect rides and walkers to neighborhoods and businesses along Wooster Pike and provide a critical link to other regional trail networks, such as CROWN.
